Cody started racing dirt track at 5 years old at the TT in Medina, NY. By age 9 he was the Canadian Youth 65cc Champion and Ontario’s Provincial Champion.
Over the next few years as an amateur he won several AMA Amateur Grand National races and Championships. He was second overall on the 85cc and National Champion on the 125, 250 2 stroke, 250DTX and Open Singles Classes.
Cody was invited to the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2007 and 2008 where he qualified in the top 40 each year. He also rode Super Moto, winning several events before turning Pro at age 16.
2010 after turning 16 he raced several AMA Pro Singles Races qualifying and finishing most races entered. He finished 8th at the Springfield Mile in his first ever Pro Singles Race.
2011 was his first full year as a Pro Singles Racer going to most of the 20 races. He finished the season 15th in points and earned himself a provisional to ride in the Expert Twins Class for 2012.
During his first race of 2012, on his way to Daytona, Cody broke his left femur. This unfortunately put him out of the points’ race and he missed most of the season. After working hard, he finally got back to the Pro Races at the end of the season. At the Indy Mile he rode both his Yamaha 450 and a 750 Twin Harley, (the Pro Singles and Expert Twins Classes), but was unable to finish either race due to mechanicals on both bikes. At his next race, the Springfield Mile, he fulfilled one of his goals to not only get back on the race track, but to win the Springfield Mile. This was his 1st ever Pro Singles win.
2013 turned out to be a building and developing year. Many races were rained out. His made his first Twins Main at Haggerstown, MD usisng his provisional and made the decission to work on his twins program. His last four GNC races he podeumed with a 3rd at the Indy Mile on his 450 and a win at the first ever Colonial Downs Mega Mile in Virgina. in the new Basic Twins class at Springfield he fined on the podeum both day with a 3rd and a 2nd.
2014 promises to be a great year with some new sponsors on board, he has decided to move up to Expert and go for the Rookie of the Year.
